The City of Launceston offers Community Grants to support local projects and activities that benefit the community socially, culturally, and environmentally. Funding is available for individuals and teams representing in various fields, as well as for organizations conducting community projects. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with the Grants and Sponsorship Officer to determine eligibility.
Eligible Applicants include:
- Individuals (18 years and under) representing Australia, Tasmania, or Northern Tasmania
- Teams/Groups (18 years and under) representing in sporting, academic, or cultural endeavors
- Organizations conducting community projects in the Launceston municipality
Funding Available:
- Individual Grants:
- $300 for overseas activities
- $100 for intrastate/interstate activities
- Team/Group Grants:
- $150 per individual for overseas activities (max $900 per team/group)
- $75 per individual for intrastate/interstate activities (max $450 per team/group)
- Organizational Grants:
- Up to $5,000 for community projects
