Introduction:
The Regional Events Fund supports events that attract visitors to regional Victoria, boosting local economies, creating jobs, and supporting local businesses. This fund backs festivals, culinary, sporting, and cultural events that showcase the vibrancy of Victoria’s regions. Eligible events help to highlight Victoria’s tourism offerings and bolster its reputation as a world-class events destination.
Eligible Applicants Include:
- Private companies
- Councils
- Regional Tourism Boards/Visitor Economy Partnerships
- Not-for-profit organisations
Funding Available:
- Stream 1: For one-off or ongoing major events (discuss with Visit Victoria).
- Stream 2: Up to $500,000 to grow the economic impact of medium to large-scale events.
- Stream 3: Up to $50,000 to build capability and support the marketing and operations of events that attract intrastate or interstate visitors.
