The Victorian Government’s Recreational Fishing Grants Program (RFGP) funds projects that enhance recreational fishing in Victoria. Since 2001, the program has supported over 600 projects worth more than $21 million. The RFGP offers funding through several streams to support both small and large-scale initiatives aimed at improving fishing experiences for the community.
Eligible Applicants include:
- Angling clubs and associations.
- Not-for-profit community groups.
- Organizations involved in recreational fishing projects in Victoria.
Funding Available:
- Small Grants Program: Up to $5,000 (GST Exclusive) for small projects.
- Intermediate Grants Program: $5,001 to $50,000 (GST Exclusive) for medium-sized projects.
- Large Grants Program: $5,001 to $100,000 (GST Exclusive) for larger projects.
- Commissioning Program: For large priority projects typically exceeding $100,000.
All applications are reviewed by the Recreational Fishing Licence Trust Advisory Committee, which advises on the allocation of funds to projects that benefit recreational fishing.
