SafeWork NSW offers a $1,000 rebate for small businesses and sole traders in NSW to improve workplace health and safety. This initiative is aimed at helping you purchase safety items that will enhance the well-being of your employees and create a safer work environment. The program has been open since October 1, 2018, and continues to support businesses and not-for-profits across New South Wales.
Eligible Applicants include:
- Small business owners and sole traders with an ABN and less than 50 full-time employees.
- Charities and not-for-profits operating in NSW.
- Applicants who haven’t received this rebate in the past five years.
Funding Available:
- Up to $1,000 to reimburse costs for purchasing eligible safety items.
- The rebate covers costs such as safety equipment and products that improve workplace health and safety, excluding personal protective equipment, tools, and business expenses.
Additional Information:
- To apply, you must complete a SafeWork NSW education activity within the last 12 months.
- Eligible activities include interactions with SafeWork NSW inspectors or attending specific SafeWork events.
