The Learn to Swim Voucher Scheme grant is ongoing until otherwise notified.
Territory toddlers aged up to five years will be eligible for $100 in swimming lessons a year funded by the Northern Territory Government’s Learn to Swim Vouchers. Through the Learn to Swim Vouchers, the Government’s aim is to prevent children from drowning in the Territory, and to provide lifelong swimming skills.
If your child is under five years old and not enrolled in preschool or school, you can apply for learn to swim vouchers in the Northern Territory (NT).
Parents are encouraged to apply online for the Learn to Swim Voucher Scheme, which will be issued twice a year ($100 vouchers every 6 months), to be used for swimming lessons for children aged up to five who have not yet started pre-school or school. To be eligible, the child must first complete or have completed the Water Safety Awareness Program with Royal Life Saving Australia NT.
To get a Learn to Swim voucher your child must be all of the following:
- a resident of the NT
- under five years old
- not enrolled in preschool or school
- registered for the water safety awareness program on the Royal Life Saving NT website.
You can use learn to swim vouchers with a registered swim activity provider.
Vouchers are for swimming lessons only.
