The Deadly Active Sport and Recreation Program (DASRP) targets 17 discrete local councils to facilitate physical activity opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, focusing on community-identified needs. Funding has been allocated to these communities from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2025, with specific amounts awarded to each council or alternative community provider.

Eligible Applicants include:
– Local government authorities
– Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations
– Not-for-profit organisations focused on Indigenous engagement

Funding Available:
– Funding amounts vary for each community based on population, remoteness indicators, and historical funding levels. Examples of funding amounts range from $188,336 to $652,445.
