Working with children (Ochre Card) Northern Territory

You must by law apply for a working with children clearance, also called an Ochre Card, to work or volunteer with children in the Northern Territory (NT).

The Northern Territory Government  has created an easy to use website which provides important information for organisations and clubs who provide activities for children and vulnerable people.  The Working with Children Ochre Card information can be accessed by clicking here

 

What does it mean for sports clubs?

If you are a sports club that offers junior sport or if you do paid work or volunteer in junior or disability sports in the NT, Northern Territory Government have identified how working with vulnerable children will relate to your club or yourself..

How to apply for an Ochre Card?

To apply for a WWC registration card follow these three easy steps.

  1. Complete an online application for and Ochre Card  
  2. Receive your Ochre card by post after the department has assessed your application.

How to pay the reduced volunteer fee

To pay the reduced volunteer fee, ask your volunteering organisation to fill in the working with children volunteer concession form 

Submit the completed form with your application.
