Every sporting club needs a strong individual who can overlook the team and be a guide for their players, ensuring they are successful men and women both on and off the field.

A coach plays an extremely important role within the sporting club; they assist athletes in developing and reaching their full potential. Sport can often be seen as a medium to teach lessons about life to athletes, especially the young ones.

These lessons learnt in sport can and should be transferred to other aspects of our lives so we can all become more effective and meaningful contributors to society. The coach is there to help their athletes learn these lessons about life.

You may have aspirations to become a coach at a sporting club. With our help, we will provide you an induction to becoming a coach!

This Sports Community Webinar Series will give you the knowledge on how you can set the tone for standards and expectations for your club. You will also walk away aware of how you can develop methods of collaboration and inclusion in developing an enjoyable environment for players and parents.

In this series, the following will be covered over the three sessions:

– Developing a coaching philosophy

– Establishing pillars that create an environment

– Delegation and collaboration
