Our clubs and committees work hard to create fun and enjoyable sporting experiences for our members, but do we spend enough time making sure we are providing a safe environment. Safety comes in many forms … how much time does your committee spend thinking about providing the safest environment possible? Do you know what your responsibilities are as a committee member to ensure the safety of your members and participants? What potential risks are we not even thinking of? Don’t let something going wrong be the reason your committee find the time to consider creating a safe environment at your club.
This Sports Community Webinar Series will provide you with all the information and knowledge you need to start a conversation at your club around safe environments and give you the tools to create and maintain a safe environment at your club.
In this series, the following will be covered over the three sessions:
- What every committee member should know about creating safe environments
- Understanding what risk means
- Identifying risks to assist with management
- Managing risks to benefit your clubs and members
- Making risk management easy for your committee
