Community Impact Grants – City of Adelaide

The City of Adelaide Community Impact Grants program supports clubs, groups, educational institutions, and organisations to achieve strategic goals related to community use of Adelaide Park Lands, safe community spaces, homelessness initiatives, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation, and community collaborations.

The grants focus on five priority areas: welcoming newcomers, promoting participation, strengthening reconciliation, social inclusion, and fostering neighborhood connections.

The grants fund activities and programs that encourage community participation, volunteer training, multicultural events, reconciliation activities, sports and recreation opportunities, equipment, and more.

Eligible applicants include individuals with specific criteria, various organisations, and educational institutions in the City of Adelaide area.

Ineligible ones consist of government departments and private enterprises.

What can be funded:

  • activities, events or programs that encourage residents and community groups to actively participate in their local community
  • training, education and accreditation for volunteers, coaches’ officials, and administrators such as first aid training
  • subsidies of hire fees
  • multi-cultural festivals
  • reconciliation events
  • sport and recreation participation opportunities
  • equipment and uniforms
  • activities, events or programs targeting a specific population such as a women’s running program
  • sports lighting, benches, water bubblers
  • accessibility improvements to buildings, sun protection
  • irrigation systems, air conditioning, surfaces (such as tennis courts)
  • community gardens

Grants are split into multiple catagories:

  • Community Impact – Programs and Community Events
  • Community Impact – Youth Lead Grants
  • Community Infrastructure
  • Community Impact Strategic Partnerships

Grant amounts and application dates vary between categories
