Applications will be accepted from 1 September to 30 September.

This grant values up to $10,000 to fund projects that will acquire sporting equipment, sporting kits and uniforms. 

Grant Overview

Firstly, the Active Kids Grants have been established with the aim of providing every child with the active childhood they deserve. Therefore, they will supply them with the equipment they need to participate in sporting activities.

However, in light of the devastating events Australian Sport has experienced this year, the active kid grants will be focusing on volunteer run grassroots and community clubs and will provide funding for kit and equipment for with young members aged under 20.

Secondly, priority will be given to clubs in disadvantaged and/or rural communities.

OBJECTIVES AND ELIGIBLE PROJECTS:

The Active Kids Grants are intended to support and encourage young Australians into sports participation. As a result, the grants will be made to fund projects that specifically target young Australians aged under 20, by acquiring:

  • Sporting Equipment
  • Kits
  • Uniforms

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

Organisations and clubs can only submit one application per ground round for the grants, and must:

  • Be volunteer run and not affiliated with a professional club
  • Registered with the Australian Sports Foundation.
  • Be a not for profit with an Australian Business Number (ABN) ǁ Intend to spend the funds within 12 months of receiving them
  • Willing to provide updates on progress or host visitors as requested.

Finally, only 1 application per organisation or club will be accepted.
