Training for club and association volunteers

Sports Community is proud to be an approved presenter on the Queensland Government’s Department of National Parks, Sport and Recreation Building Active Communities and the Government of Western Australia Department of Sport and Recreation’s Sports and Business Workshops club development programs.

Between 2013 – 2015 Sports Community delivered over 320 training sessions around the country in most metropolitan centres as well as rural, regional and remote locations around Australia such as Gove, Katherine and Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Tom Price and Paraburdoo in the Pilbara in Western Australia and Mount Isa in outback Queensland.

Our extensive experience in developing and delivering workshops has allowed us to develop our Volunteer Development Pathway which allows us to tailor programs for volunteers and administrators of all levels of experience and responsibility.

Sports Community has developed a wide range of training sessions and workshops designed to empower community sports club and association volunteers to undertake their roles successfully.

“Bowls Victoria has enjoyed a successful partnership with Sports Community to develop and deliver a whole-of-sport club training program over the past two years. “The program was managed well and to expectations with training programs staged in metropolitan and regional areas across Victoria. “Very positive responses were obtained from attendees with benefits being experienced by clubs virtually straight away. “Bowls Victoria is confident recommendations in respect to our relationships with Sports Community are based on accurate feedback from our client base and our own individual dealings through its management and staff.”

Graeme Bridge
Chief Executive, Bowls Victoria

“It’s been so great working with Steve and the Sports Community team on a variety of Association Development training and leadership opportunities throughout 2015. “Their expertise and knowledge about sport, not for profits and community has been refreshing and our members and associations have certainly benefited from this. “The best thing about Sports Community is that they listened to our organisation’s needs and tailor made training opportunities to match. We look forward to continuing our work with Sports Community”
