e) Step 1 – Stakeholder Consultation

Step 1 – Stakeholder Consultation

Even small Clubs are complex organisations with many different groups of stakeholders including (but certainly not limited to):

  • Members
  • Players
  • Coaches
  • Umpires
  • Officials
  • Volunteers
  • Council
  • Sponsors
  • Parents and supporters
  • Life members
  • Past Players
  • Schools

Each group will look at the Club and its future needs from their unique perspective so it is very important that the views and opinions of the different groups within your Club are considered and included in the planning process.   This may be through ‘Focus Groups’ (small groups discussing the topic) or a more time efficient process such as announcing the planning process and asking for expressions of interest to be involved or for any feedback to be sent for consideration.
