Classroom Training

Sports Community has developed a wide range of training sessions and workshops designed to empower community sports club volunteers to undertake their roles.

The Sports Community training sessions can be customised to meet the exact needs of your clubs. Local and State Governments have offered Sports Community group training sessions to their clubs and we have also customised the sessions to specifically cater for different sports on behalf of State and National Peak Sporting Bodies.

From 2013 – 2015 Sports Community delivered over 320 training sessions around the country in most metropolitan centres as well as rural, regional and remote locations around Australia such as Gove, Katherine and Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Tom Price and Paraburdoo in the Pilbara in Western Australia and Mount Isa in outback Queensland.

Sports Community is a proud presenter on the:

  • Queensland Government’s Department of National Parks
  • Sport and Recreation Building Active Communities and
  • the Government of Western Australia Department of Sport and Recreation Sports and Business Workshops club development programs.

Club Development Training is evolving

To increase the effectiveness and accessibility of our training format for volunteers Sports Community has taken its training online. All Sports Community training sessions are now also available as a live webinar (broadcast directly from our studio) or as an online, on demand training session accessed from www.sportscommunity.com.au.

What our partners say about Sports Community

“Bowls Victoria has enjoyed a successful partnership with Sports Community to develop and deliver a whole-of-sport club training program over the past two years. The program was managed well and to expectations with training programs staged in metropolitan and regional areas across Victoria.

Very positive responses were obtained from attendees with benefits being experienced by clubs virtually straight away. Bowls Victoria is confident recommendations in respect to our relationships with Sports Community are based on accurate feedback from our client base and our own individual dealings through it’s’ management and staff. “

– Graeme Bridge, Chief Executive

“Our Department/The Northern Territory engaged the services of Sports Community to run a series of club development training sessions throughout the NT in 2013. Their training was exactly what we have been looking for! Sports Community developed a training package to suit the specific needs of Territory clubs. Their knowledge, energy and passion for grassroots sports was evident throughout the training programs. The Territory is looking forward to developing a long term relationship with Sports Community to endeavor to offer our clubs the highest standard of club development training in Australia”
